Not just advisors.
Stewards of your legacy.
We believe financial advice isn’t about products; it’s about promises kept. Credentials matter, but character matters more. Meet the team that treats your future with the same rigor and care we treat our own families.

Ashby W. Price, CFA, AIF®, CPFA®, CRPS®
“In this industry, products are commoditized—relationships are not.”
As a native of Richmond, my passion for service began as a “Big Brother” mentor. That experience taught me that true impact comes from showing up, listening, and offering perspective when it’s needed most. I started Ashwood Financial Partners to help clients “drown out the noise” and focus on what truly matters: their family, their business, and their legacy.
A fiduciary advisor with over 25 years of experience, Ashby has helped clients ranging from billion-dollar institutions to individual families. His commitment to continuous learning and his credentials enable him to provide the highest standard of fiduciary care and innovative financial solutions to meet the evolving needs of his clients. Ashby’s experience as a business owner and his leadership roles on various boards allow him to apply real-life experience to offer practical and effective solutions to his clients.

Kelsey L. Daugherty, CPFA®, MBA
“I believe financial planning is an act of empathy.”
Kelsey began her career at Goldman Sachs, where she worked to manage investments of ultra-high net worth families and endowments. She earned her MBA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and attended The College of William and Mary for her undergraduate degree.
She is very involved in the community serving on numerous non-profit boards including RVA757 Connects, Fit4Kids, and the Children’s Museum of Richmond. Outside of the office, Kelsey enjoys spending time on the river with her dog, Ranger.

Chris Milligan, CFA
“Trust is built on a foundation of rigorous analysis and open communication.”
Prior to joining Ashwood Financial Partners, Chris spent over 13 years as a research analyst and advisor for a Richmond-based wealth management firm. He is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) and a CFA Charterholder.
Chris is actively involved in the community, serving as a board member of Massey Alliance and the CFA Society of Virginia. He previously served on the VMI Economics and Business Academic Advisory Board and was the president of the UnBoundRVA young professional board. In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his friends and family and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
Our values aren’t on a wall — they’re in every conversation.
Just as strong roots sustain a tree’s growth through all seasons, your achievements anchor our progress. We stand by your side, steadfast and ready to help families build wealth, businesses grow, and nonprofits thrive.
Integrity
We act with honesty and transparency in every interaction. As fiduciaries, your best interest is our only interest.
Client-Centric
Every decision, every strategy, every conversation begins and ends with what’s best for you—whether you’re a family, a business owner, or a nonprofit leader.
Excellence
We pursue the highest standards of professional competence and continuously invest in our credentials, tools, and processes.
Innovation
We leverage institutional-grade technology and research-driven strategies to deliver a modern, forward-thinking client experience.
Held to the highest ethical standards in the industry.
As CFA Charterholders, we are bound by the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct—the most rigorous ethical framework in investment management.
Credentials aren’t trophies — they’re your protection.
Every designation our team holds translates directly into a tangible advantage for you. Here’s what our combined credentials mean for your financial life.
Institutional-Grade Analysis
Two CFA Charterholders means your portfolio is built with the same rigor applied to billion-dollar institutional funds—quantitative research, risk-adjusted returns, and disciplined security selection.
360° Fiduciary Oversight
Our credentials each carry independent fiduciary obligations. Your financial plan isn’t just reviewed once—it’s held to multiple overlapping standards of care.
Retirement Plan Expertise
Our combined designations mean your employer retirement plan—401(k), 403(b), or ERISA—is designed, monitored, and governed by credentialed specialists, not generalists.
Life at Ashwood.
